5/28/2023 0 Comments I am fish lore![]() ![]() Tks in advance, and once again apologies for the long-winded post. How far back must I go to get a reasonable idea of Warcraft Lore. ![]() Somebody suggested playing the original Warcraft Strategy games, and that seems to be a sound idea, question is which of them - would it be enough to play WCIII and it's expansion, or should I start at WCII or even the first WC. My question is this (yes, I was getting to it ), Aside from hours and hours of reading wowwiki, what is the best way to get up to speed with Warcraft Lore, ie, the background to Illidan, why is he in outlands, who was Gul'dan, who was Khadgar and what did he do (I asked that in Guild chat the other night and was told I should be stripped down to level 1 for not knowing that). Kael'thas / Vashj are supposed to be in league with Illidan, but what is Keal'thas doing in bed with the burning legion, etc, etc. The fact that The burning legion and Illidan seem to be arch enemies, and we (as players) are enemies of both sides. Interesting things occur there which makes the story take on some wild twists. I've been level 70 for a while now, and I've moved around Netherstorm and Shadowmoon valley pretty much as much as everybody. Since I got to Outlands, after encoutering The burning Legion, hearing about Kil'Jaeden, Hearing about this nasty little guy called Illidan, some whacked-in-the-head guy by the name of Kael'thas (what the hell is he up to anyway), I realised that my knowledge of the Lore behind what I was encountering was hindering my enjoyment of the whole experience (ok, ok, I'm one who likes to know these things to enjoy the game - simply killing things and levelling isn't everything to me) When Bob is putting it in the car one of two bread loaf falls off. We have a baker selling Bob bread that moves. Nothing highlighted this more to me than the release of TBC, upon which I realised that a Huge long storyline backs up what I have been experiencing so far in WoW (I was about level 40 when TBC came out). Discussion Lets start off with the beginning. The knight looked toward her and heaved a weighty sigh. The bard looked across the barroom table towards a scarred knight in pitted armor, her half-elven fingers steepled and her eyes twinkling. As I progressed through my levels and moved from area to area, I became aware that the Lore of Warcraft was quite extensive. Story of the College of Lore A tomb of ancient evil lurks in the hills, you say Tell me everything you know of this so-called Tomb of Horrors. My introduction into the World of Warcraft was. Excuse the up-coming wall-o-text, but I can't seem to explain myself with less words. ![]()
